Fourth TBS Auction, April 16, 2011

Wherein (we had to fight) for our right (to party)!

Wow, what a party! We came, en masse… we saw… we ate and drank like kings and queens… we spent more money than was perhaps strictly necessary, in a dull fiduciary sense… we danced ’til we (literally, in some cases) dropped… and we raised somewhere in the neighborhood of $100,000 for our school and our teachers! If anyone can tell us a better way to spend a Saturday night, we wish they would. The Hotel Shattuck Plaza was the scene of this fabulous event — called to order by the traditional TBS didgeridoo recital, occasion of several “friendly” bidding wars, and with the benefit of our fabulous Middle School band, featuring guest appearances by many faculty and staff members! Speaking of the band, our “Raise Your Paddle” event raised almost $25,000 for the TBS music program. Can you imagine what we might hear next year? Many heartfelt thanks to all the parents and friends who came to support the auction, and especially to the many volunteers who worked so hard for this well-deserved success!
